Needs assessment data identified key trends that the Diboll Independent School District team may prioritize in their upcoming improvement plans. Notably, school staff expressed a strong desire for increased access to academic support programs, with 60% of survey respondents selecting this as a priority. Similarly, parents and caregivers emphasized the need for expanded career awareness and job training opportunities, with 49% of respondents identifying this as a critical area for their children.

The Diboll team is establishing Advisory Councils to help guide decision-making on community priorities. These councils will play a critical role in developing strategic plans, ensuring that initiatives funded through the grant align with local needs. Beyond informing decision-making, the councils will also demonstrate the district’s commitment to valuing community voices, fostering greater engagement, collaboration, and long-term support for Diboll’s students and families.
