Being a chaperone for AYLS is an important responsibility.  As a chaperone, if selected, you are agreeing to:
  1. Help communicate with students in your school as to deadlines and logistics for the event.
  2. Participate in pre-planning sessions in preparation for the event.
  3. Be present on campus at LMU for the entire duration of AYLS and actively participate with students in all aspects of the event.
  4. Provide due diligence in supervising students to ensure their safety as well as the safety of each other.
  5. Live among the students in the dormitories and provide quality supervision during the overnight hours, again with the purpose of ensuring student safety.
  6. Help students discover their own strengths and potential as young Appalachian leaders.
