Being a chaperone for AYLS is an important responsibility. As a chaperone, if selected, you are agreeing to:
-
Help communicate with students in your school as to deadlines and logistics for the event.
-
Participate in pre-planning sessions in preparation for the event.
-
Be present on campus at LMU for the entire duration of AYLS and actively participate with students in all aspects of the event.
-
Provide due diligence in supervising students to ensure their safety as well as the safety of each other.
-
Live among the students in the dormitories and provide quality supervision during the overnight hours, again with the purpose of ensuring student safety.
-
Help students discover their own strengths and potential as young Appalachian leaders.
